Lantern Exploration Quest

Find scenes from "Sun Wukong's Journey to the West" lantern displays throughout Jurong Lake Gardens during the Lights by the Lake 2025 event, capture memorable moments with the NParks Explore A Route (NEAR) mobile app and take home exclusive Jurong Lake Gardens magnetic pins!

How to Participate

Start your journey by downloading the NEAR app and creating an account.
Navigate to the Events bubble or Events screen within the NEAR app and select "Lights by the Lake 2025 – Lantern Exploration Quest" to begin your adventure.
Discover and photograph all five scenes from "Sun Wukong's Journey to the West" lantern displays throughout Jurong Lake Gardens during the Lights by the Lake 2025 event. Three scenes await you at Lakeside Field, whilst the remaining two can be found at Butterfly Field.
For each scene you discover, take a photograph and post it to the NEAR app's Community Wall. Complete all five photo quests to be eligible for the redemption!

Redemption

Upon completing all five photo quests, head over to any of the three designated Jurong Lake Gardens Visitor Services Counters to redeem a limited edition Jurong Lake Gardens magnetic pin.
Each NEAR app account is entitled to one limited edition magnetic pin only, available whilst stocks last.

Japanese Garden (Water Lily Pavilion)
